The Pittsburgh Penguins celebrated their fifth Stanley Cup championship with a 2-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on June 11, 2017 in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. The first goal of the game, the game winner, was scored with only 1:35 left in the 3rd period. With this win, the Penguins became the first back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in 19 years.  The Penguins capped their 50th Anniversary season with their fifth Stanley Cup, and all five championships were won on the road. Aside from the Original Six franchises, no team in the NHL has won more Stanley Cup titles than the Pittsburgh Penguins.
