This panoramic photo, taken on November 27, 2021, captures the opening faceoff between the University of North Dakota and the University of Minnesota in the world-class Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks went on to defeat the Golden Gophers 3-2 in another chapter of this historic rivalry. This game marked the first time the UND Hockey program wore the NODAK alternate home white jerseys. The Ralph Engelstad Arena often referred to as “The Ralph” is located on the UND campus, seats 11,640 fans and is the home of North Dakota Hockey. The Ralph has been labeled one of the finest facilities of its kind in the world and was built by UND Alumnus Ralph Engelstad.
