The UAB Blazers kicked off a new era in their team history on October 2, 2021 as they played their inaugural game at Protective Stadium.  The multi-purpose 45,000 seat stadium is located in the Uptown district of Birmingham, Alabama.  While UAB ultimately lost the home opener, the grand opening is not soon to be forgotten by their enthusiastic fans.
