This panorama, taken by Christopher Gjevre, captures the ensuing jubilation, as the West Virginia Mountaineers® made a game-winning layup in the final four seconds of the game to stun the Kansas Jayhawks and end the night in victory. After the Jayhawks threw a full-court pass and missed a layup, the West Virginia fans poured out onto the court for a robust edition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” to celebrate the win. The Mountaineers scored 17 points off turnovers and had 22 offensive rebounds that led to 15 second-chance points in the victory. This ESPN nationally televised game, played at WVU Coliseum, marked the second consecutive time the Mountaineers beat Kansas in Morgantown.
